Aw, my mother is on the phone with my grandmother, who lives in the Czech Republic. And my mom waited until it was excactly 3 here, aka midnight there, and shouted “šťastný nový rok”!
It was so precious.
I miss my grandmother, and the rest of my entire family in the Czech Republic.
I miss it all.
speaking of which, my only new years resolution is to obtain all of my czech...

JUST today, on at least 6 separate occasions, my mother has told me how much she loves my dark blue hair. (and by “told” I mean, she goes on 10 minutes long speeches about how great it looks, and how it matches my skin so well, and how my previous light hair was terrible, etc.)
